QCSportsNet will once again prove it’s the Quad Cities’ leader for live, local high school sports when it follows the Rock Island Rocks girls basketball team for three key games in the coming weeks. The Rocks will play in the DeKalb MLK Weekend Tournament this weekend, with QCSportsNet carrying the Rocks’ games on Monday. The Rocks will face Moline on January 18th in Western Big 6 action before traveling to Louisville, KY on January 20th.

Highlights from Pleasant Valley win over Muscatine

Pleasant Valley (10-1/8-1, ranked #9 in Iowa Class 4A) defeated Muscatine 59-50 in a tough road environment at MHS Fieldhouse on Friday, January 12th. There were many highlights from one of the best games covered by QCSportsNet this basketball season, but the following clips were the key highlights of the night with Dallon Christensen on the call.

Following the game, Steve Hillman spoke with Dallon Christensen about the Spartans’ big win in a tough road environment.

More live high school basketball this week on QCSportsNet!

Following a busy two weeks of holiday tournament and shootout action, high school basketball returns to conference action this week live on QCSportsNet! The Pleasant Valley boys team looks to keep pace in the Mississippi Athletic Conference with games against Davenport Central on Tuesday and Muscatine on Friday. In the Western Big 6, we will cover girls action with UT at Alleman and Rock Island at Galesburg on Thursday. A full slate of Western Big 6 action is on tap for Friday, with UT at Alleman, Rock Island hosting Alleman, and Moline at Galesburg. The weekend concludes with Moline hosting Ottawa on Saturday night.

Updated QCSportsNet weekend broadcast schedule

United Township’s game on Friday, January 5th against Peoria Quest has been canceled according to the UT athletic office. Please see our updated schedule for this Friday and Saturday below, highlighted by the final four games of Saturday’s IHMVCU Shootout at Wharton Field House. Kyle McEwen and Dallon Christensen have the first two games of the broadcast, with Ray Swetella joining Dallon on the broadcast of the featured Rock Island-Pleasant Valley game starting at 8:30 PM.

This event highlights the best in Quad City-area girls basketball, and we will air the final four games from the event. Join us from Wharton Field House on Saturday, January 6th beginning at 2:55 PM for a slate of four games, featuring defending Iowa 4A state champion North Scott and the highly-anticipated matchup between Rock Island and Pleasant Valley. It promises to be an action-packed day of basketball from Wharton Field House!

Conference action and IHMVCU Shootout highlight QCSportsNet’s 2018 openers!

Following a busy week of holiday tournament action, QCSportsNet starts 2018 with the return of conference action and a slate of seven games on Saturday! Western Big 6 girls basketball action returns on Thursday, January 4th with Rock Island facing United Township and Moline facing Alleman. Friday features all four of our boys teams in action with Pleasant Valley restarting its season hosting Clinton on the schedule. We air seven games on Saturday, featuring the highly-anticipated matchup between the Rock Island and Pleasant Valley girls at the IH Mississippi Valley Shootout from Wharton Field House in Moline.
