QCSportsNet schedule for the week of 15 February 2016

The “second season” begins in girls basketball this week, and QCSportsNet joins the Rock Island Rocks and Pleasant Valley Spartans girls teams on their journeys to the state tournament! The Rocks and Spartans have legitimate state tournament hopes, and QCSportsNet will be there every step of the way. Rock Island opens regional play on Wednesday night and plays Friday if it wins. Pleasant Valley opens Iowa regional play Saturday night at home against Dubuque Hempstead.

In boys basketball action, Pleasant Valley has two chances to win its first outright Mississippi Athletic Conference championship since 2006 when the Spartans travel to Burlington on Tuesday before closing the regular season with a home game against Davenport Central on Friday night. The voice of Burlington Bees baseball, Michael Broskowski, joins QCSportsNet to call the PV-Burlington game. Rock Island and United Township square off on Friday night.

Rock Island girls basketball plays for the Western Big 6 title Thursday on QCSportsNet

Following QCSportsNet’s announcement that we will carry all state playoff games for the Rock Island Rocks and Pleasant Valley Spartans girls basketball teams, we are pleased to announce that we will also carry the Rock Island girls basketball team’s Western Big 6 regular season finale at Thiel Gym in Galesburg as the Rocks take on Galesburg. The Voice of the Rocks, Ken Jacoby, will have the action starting live at 6 PM Thursday night. The Rocks go for a girls basketball Western Big 6 championship on Thursday night, and you can catch all of the action on QCSportNet!

The March to March continues on QCSportsNet

Pleasant Valley, Rock Island, and United Township continue their marches to the month of March on QCSportsNet this week! This week, we also highlight a special presentation of Rock Island girls basketball as the Rocks travel to Galesburg with the Western Big 6 title on the line. The Spartans travel to Muscatine and host Davenport West after a dramatic win at Bettendorf. Rock Island hosts Alleman in Western Big 6 action before traveling to the Kaneland Shootout on Saturday. UT hosts Quincy in a conference matchup on Friday.
