Pleasant Valley and United Township game schedule for March 11-12

Pleasant Valley’s victory over Dubuque Senior on Wednesday sets QCSportsNet up for a big Friday of high school basketball! The Spartans face West Des Moines Valley for a trip to the state championship game at 1:10 PM on Friday, March 11. Later on Friday, United Township looks to make its first Elite Eight since 1979 as it faces Alton in the finals of the Collinsville Sectional.

Following United Township’s dramatic double-overtime victory over Rock Island in Tuesday’s sectional semifinal, the updated QCSportsNet broadcast schedule is found below. UT will play on Friday night against Alton in the Collinsville Sectional Final, with pregame starting at 6:40 PM.

Pleasant Valley plays this afternoon (March 9) in the Iowa Class 4A state quarterfinals against Dubuque Senior. Tip-off is set for 2:45 PM with pregame going live at 2:25 PM.

Basketball weeks do not get much bigger than this week, and QCSportsNet is there to bring you the action from all over the Midwest!

The action starts on Tuesday night, when Rock Island and United Township meet for the third time. This time, it’s win or go home in the sectional semifinals at historic Wharton Field House in Moline. The winner will play Friday night in the Collinsville Sectional final. We will carry dual broadcasts of the game, with “home team” broadcasts on our Rock Island and United Township channels. We will carry the sectional final from Collinsville on Friday night. The only question is will the Rocks or Panthers represent the Western Big Six and the Quad Cities.

Pleasant Valley heads to Wells Fargo Arena on Wednesday for its second consecutive state tournament appearance. PV starts its road to a second straight state title game appearance with a quarterfinal appearance against Dubuque Senior on Wednesday. Tipoff from Des Moines is at 2:45 PM, with pregame set for 2:25 PM.

Rock Island and United Township play for regional championships on Friday night, and QCSportsNet will be there live with the action! UT is at Normal to take on Normal West, while Rock Island heads to Ottawa to take on Ottawa Township. Both games will tip at 7 PM with pregames around 6:40 PM on the Quad Cities’ home for live local sports!
