IHSA boys regional action begins this week, and QCSportsNet is your home for the Western Big 6 co-champion Rock Island Rocks and United Township Panthers! The Rocks and Panthers are on a collision course for a Friday night regional final, but both teams must get past tough post-season competition early in the week. UT starts our coverage on Tuesday night, with Rock Island taking center stage on Wednesday. Our crews will bring you all of the live action from the UTHS regional.

State playoff action starts this week on QCSportsNet

QCSportsNet is your home for live state playoff action as our feature teams close the regular season and open state playoff action. The second-ranked Rock Island girls basketball team opens Illinois Class 4A action on Tuesday night against Pekin at Wharton Field House. Should the Rocks win on Tuesday, they will play on Thursday night in the regional final. The Pleasant Valley boys close the regular season with games on Tuesday and Friday nights. The state-ranked and MAC co-champion PV girls start their march to Des Moines on Saturday night in an Iowa Class 5A semifinal matchup. Rock Island and United Township play in a critical Western Big 6 matchup on Friday night, and we will have our dual Rock Island and United Township broadcasts on Friday night.

QCSportsNet will be live with Mississippi Athletic Conference and Western Big 6 action all week! The action starts on Tuesday night when University of Iowa recruit Joe Wieskamp and Muscatine visit Pleasant Valley. The Rock Island girls continue their march to a Western Big 6 championship on Thursday night at the Rocks travel to Galesburg. All three of our feature boys teams are in action on Friday, highlighted by a cross-town rivalry game between Rock Island and Alleman at Augustana’s Carver Center and United Township’s visit to Quincy.

Revised QCSportsNet schedule for February 3 and 4

qc-sports-net-banner-2.pngBecause of a contract stipulation involving Bettendorf’s radio carrier, QCSportsNet is unable to air Friday night’s Bettendorf-Pleasant Valley boys basketball game. We will still air the Bettendorf-PV girls game with a 5:45 PM pregame and a 6 PM tipoff tonight. Dallon will update scores of the boys game on Facebook and Twitter even though the game will not air on our station. The revised schedule for this weekend for all of our teams is below.
