The Rock Island Rocks, Pleasant Valley Spartans, and United Township Panthers return to action this week, and QCSportsNet will be there live for all of the action! PV starts the week with a Tuesday night road trip to Davenport Assumption. All three teams are live on Friday night, highlighted by a key United Township-Galesburg matchup in Galesburg. Rock Island travels to Ottawa on Saturday for a 6 PM tipoff. Please note the special start time for Rock Island this Saturday. Your game links are below. For the first time in what is believed to be more than a decade, live play-by-play of girls high school basketball is returning to the Quad Cities! QCSportsNet.com, the leading provider of high school sports in the Quad Cities, is pleased to announce live coverage of all girls basketball state tournament games involving Rock Island and Pleasant Valley high schools, presented by the Wheelan-Pressly family of funeral homes in Rock Island, Milan, and Reynolds. This is in addition to QCSportsNet’s current programming of complete regular season and state tournament coverage of the Rock Island, Pleasant Valley, and United Township boys teams.

The girls tournaments begin in mid-February, making it five teams with championship aspirations that QCSportsNet will carry live for as far as they go in their quest to make it to the Final Four. On the girls side, Rock Island (20-3, #6 in Illinois Class 4A) and Pleasant Valley (9-3, #15 in Iowa Class 5A) are having excellent seasons, as are, on the boys side, Rock Island (12-3, #8 in Illinois Class 4A), United Township (15-4, Honorable Mention in Illinois Class 4A), and Pleasant Valley (12-0, #2 in Iowa Class 4A).

“I think that sounds great,” said Rock Island girls coach Thad Hoover about the news. “Excited to have the coverage.”

Tournament sponsorship plans are available for as low as $12 per game, for all games up to and including the Final Four.

PV-North Scott title game rematch highlights QCSportsNet’s weekend lineup!

The last time Pleasant Valley and North Scott met on the court, the Iowa 4A state championship was at stake. The Lancers and Spartans renew their rivalry this Friday night on QCSportsNet, your exclusive home for this state finals rematch. Dallon Christensen will have the call of the game starting with a 7:15 pregame.

Rock Island and United Township are in action Friday and Saturday night, with the Rocks at home against Galesburg on Friday and Normal West on Saturday and the Panthers hosting Alleman on Friday and Bettendorf on Saturday.
