As the calendar turns to February, thoughts of our local high school basketball teams turn to conference championships and state tournament action. Tuesday night features the Pleasant Valley-Bettendorf rivalry, as the Spartans and Bulldogs meet in a varsity doubleheader. The Western Big 6 champion Rock Island girls basketball team faces UT on Friday, while we have a full slate of conference action on Friday night. Our Western Big 6 teams are also involved in non-conference action on Saturday.
